My shift for tomorrow is cancelled. I am pleased even though I scheduled myself to work until 11PM next tuesday.

Still, there is more time for me to read War and Peace. I am just 15% done after completing Book Two this evening. There are so many characters, and the military and war scenes do drag a bit. I know what happens of course so it’s rather sad having been spoiled. Since I saw King Vidor’s movie adaptation, I can only think of Pierre as the pensive, intelligent Henry Fonda. The image brought by the book seems more awkward than that so the images conflict a bit in my mind. This just makes me want to reread Anna Karenina again. I read that at 14 and maybe I should hold it off until then. So many Russian authors, so many novels and stories still not read.

I finished my Clairefontaine journal today. I get to open the big Moleskine now. I love journals, and I love filling them up. Pouring my mind and soul just a bit into them even if I’m horribly critical about my personal angst in the journals.

Tomorrow the library and maybe some coffeeshopping with Alex and Tolstoy.
