Social Collisions

“Love is the most difficult and danerous form of courage. Courage is the most desperate, admirable, and noble kind of love.”
–Delmore Schwartz

2. Characterized by or accomplished with care and perseverance.

This day was long but in the good way. My social worlds collided, and it felt a bit…odd. Not awkward, just different. I’m unsure if i like it since I am so private.

Emma, Liz, her sis Isabella, and I went on a double decker bus tour of the city. We got on free because Annie was working the kiosk. That was nice. Liz and her sister left us, but the three of us went to Earl of Sussex to watch a game. Justin was at the gallery so we ran into him on the way (we had communicated on the cell). We only caught the second half of the Portugal vs. Netherlands game; it was one of the craziest games I’ve seen in awhile in terms of how violently intense and foul filled it was. The pub was pretty loud. We talked for awhile. Justin was himself. I think everyone enjoyed the interaction. We drank Carlsberg Light and I got tipsy which is a first. I am so weak, and I should stop drinking. The waitress was from Poland and she and I had a great little conversation about it. That was fun except I was too tired to continue it. Justin joked that if I was a guy I would have scored her number. Hilariously, I really think he is correct. In a rare moment, I sort of wish I was. She really seemed interested in the fact I was in Poland last month. It really isn’t a country that many people go to. We went to Major’s Hill afterwards and Emma got bored in this last hour. It was a nice day overall. Just a bit odd with my worlds colliding. It’s a weird insecurity of mine which would take too long to explain and put into words. I don’t think I’ll make a habit of it though. I’m not confident about my social situations yet. I think I need more confidence in this area.

I should stop drinking. I can’t believe I like beer now. Carlsberg was good. I think it’s my second favourite after the Polish beer which would make Stella and Keiths on the same level. I bet I’ll sleep really hard tonight like the first time I drank the vodka cocktail.

Back to me.
