Skip Plans

Success is never permanent; failure is never fatal. The only thing that really counts is to never, never, never give up.
—Winston Churchill

Since I am quite irresponsible, naughty and impulsive, I cancelled my eight hour shift tomorrow. I was at work, and it just came to me. My parents expect me to go to work though so I am basically forcing myself alone time downtown for eight hours. I will mainly read and wander. I also would like some coffee shopping and maybe some lunch. Possibly poutine or West African chicken. I look forward to it since I always seem to like a well deserved skip. I’m a bit amoral like that.

With the clubbing tomorrow night and possibly being out until 2AM, I think taking it easy for the day is best and reserving all my energy for the night. Earlier in the week, I had decided that I could work a few weeks in September, but now I’m not so sure. People are quitting now because of school, and I worked out that I would have to do double shifts every week if I did. Well, I’ll be doing a double shift when I get back from Parry Sound so we’ll see how it goes then. I’m not desperate for the money so much, but it is good and necessary especially in September.

I watched The Sheik and Son of Sheik. I liked the former more, but the latter had the wonderful Rudolph Valentino playing two roles. I found the first movie very well done for 1921. The chemistry was good, and while exaggerated and cliched, there was enjoyment and fun in it all.

Off to sleep for a day of skipping work tomorrow.
