Hello! I am still reading Gone with the Wind. I am now over one third done it, but to be honest, I have been so busy these last two weeks that I haven’t really had a lot of time to read.
When I get busy with life and work obligations, I just want to zone out a bit in front of the television. I am also fiddling now so that takes time away from knitting and reading. As a result, this blog has also suffered.
This week, I worked more than I have ever in recent memory. It was a long week and I slept a long time last night. The weather is rainy so I will stay in and not go out at all (my preferred situation for Sunday), read and bake an apple crumble.
What are you doing this Sunday?
My week has been one of lots of distractions. My reading has been unimpressive. Even though my primary TV has been on the fritz (and out for repairs and possible replacement), I find myself turning to TV to distract me.
Zoning out is something I can relate to….and BTW, I plan to reread GWTW some time this year.
Here’s MY SUNDAY SALON POST
Hi Laurel! Maybe the cold weather makes it more likely to veg a bit. I am really liking GWTW. Thanks!
It happens to us all at some point. It’s okay to just veg out. I have a few reviews to write but I’ll probably take a nap instead. 🙂 I hope you enjoy the rest of your day.
Hi Vasilly! I veg out every week day nowadays. I haven’t written a review in weeks. Eee! Thanks for the comment and I hope you have a great week.
My reading has been stalling as well. But the weather has been great. We will see what October holds. cheers. http://www.thecuecard.com/
Hi Susan! Can’t wait to see what movies you’re going to watch and books to read this month. Have a great weekend! Thanks.
I know what you mean I always want to relax in front of the television if I have had a hard week, as it involves less brain power. Hope you apple crumble was nice planning to make one myself with my fresh pick of apples from my own trees. This is the first year we’ve got fruit from them.
Hi Jessica! I don’t really want to think too much after a long work day and that also means not reading either. My crumble was good, but I forgot the oats and not enough sugar hehe. Oh! I wish I had an apple tree. Love them! What variety are they? What will you make with them? Have a great week. Thanks!
When I bought them at a local farm the trees were described as dessert apples, not sure if that counts as a variety or just a description. I’m definitely thinking of making a crumble too it is the perfect weather for crumble served with plenty of custard.
Hi Jessica! Sounds good to me as long as you can eat them and bake them. I do love custard. I wish it was more widely available here. Love autumn. Hope your crumble is scrumptious.
