- The Remains of the Day by Kazuo Ishiguro
Alternates:
The Stone Diaries by Carol Shields
Schindler’s Ark by Thomas Keneally
The Sea by John Banville

The Inheritance of Loss by Kiran Desai
Atonement by Ian McEwan (shortlisted)
…and the rest
Bookers I have read:

Yay! Thanks for joining. Did you like Life of Pi? It’s one of my choices for the challenge.

I loved both The God of Small Things and The Remains of the Day. I also really recommend Posession. I haven’t made my list for this challenge yet, but I know I’ll include Midnight’s Children too, because I’m already reading it for the Book Awards Challenge.
